Fraud in UFO society
False play is common in UFO society and today i stumbled upon yet another example of it.
This time it’s the “true story” about a Swedish person who claims she has met and interviewed a reptilian that live in a big cave inside of earth with more of her kind. (Read it here). It’s a very intriguing sci-fi story, and that’s all it is. If you’re interested in reading stuff like this you go to ufoblogger.blogspot.com that commonly post these kind of stories. I visit there daily and often get a good laugh.
So do i surely know this is fake?
Well. No. But…
First you read the epilogue of this story where the word TRUTH is mentioned six times. That should really convince you that it’s not. Then you read this fantastic story that is spectacular but beyond all reason. That is another tell. And if you still have doubts (or just want to assure yourself) you can do some research. This is a good thing and i recommend that you do it because even if you dont believe the story it can infect your skill of future reasoning.
What i did was simple.
I went to whois.org and typed in sabon.org.
Magic happened and then:

In June of 1999 a German man named Rico Kolodzey (yes the same man) applied for The James Randi Educational Foundation’s (JREF) “million dollar psychic challenge”. Kolodzey calimed he could live on nothing but water and “prana” – a supposed divine form of “life energy”.
Randi rejected Kolodzey’s application:
Mr. Kolodzey: Don’t treat us like children. We only respond to responsible claims. Are you actually claiming that you have not consumed any food products except water, since the end of 1998? If this is what you are saying, did you think for one moment that we would believe it? If this is actually your claim, you’re a liar and a fraud. We are not interested in pursuing this further, nor will we exchange correspondence with you on the matter.
Not stated in the replie was another reason for the rejection. JREF won’t accept appliances where there is risk of injury or death.
If you believe in supporting yourself on “Prana” maybe you’ll believe this new Kolodzey story.
I believe in neither and i’m glad to have informed you on why.
Why people do this is still more a mystery to me than the stories they tell.
Think.
